Pour over coffee is one of the easiest and most delicious ways to make cafe quality coffee at home. There are many things to consider when making pour overs and this class will define all the most common extraction variables, as well as demonstrate how to tweak your recipe to cater to your specific taste and preference.
At 8th & Roast, we have always offered our most unique, bright and flavorful coffees on pour over and we are excited share our house V60 recipe!
In addition to our house recipe, we'll be covering a more standard pour over recipe to fully cover the most common techniques. Participants in this class will be making coffees hands on and training just like our baristas!
We will also cover some general coffee education, as well as brief overviews of the most popular pour over/hybrid methods like V60, Kalita Wave, Chemex and Clever Dripper. We'll highlight the main differences between each method, as well as a few extra tips and tricks for different brewers.
